Role Purpose:
- Repair and preventative maintenance of materials handling and ancillary equipment.
- Providing excelent service to a wide range of customers.
Role Responsibilities:
- Preventative maintenance of materials handling and ancillary equipment and ensure all service planners are updated regularly
- Repair of materials handling and ancillary equipment
- Accurately complete service reports and time sheets
- Carry out repair and service work to ensure that Service Level Agreements with customers are being met
- Supervision of service site teams, including workload planning, advising on training needs and monitoring of engineer performance
- Maintain excellent customer relationship while Jungheinrich commercial objectives are being met
- Monitor and regular inputting of relevant KPI’s
- Ensure that defined inventory management procedures are being adhered to and the maximum inventory tolerance is not exceeded
- Contribute to customer review meetings as agreed by line manager
- Develop and motivate team to maximise potential using site audit tool to drive continuous improvement
- Optimise external revenue by ensuring chargeable ffollow-upwork identified is communicated to the Customer and completed in a timely manner
- Ensure all company and customer health and safety procedures are met
- Identify sales leads for the Jungheinrich range of equipment and after-sales products
- Act as a Company Ambassador at all times
In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the job holder may be required to perform other duties assigned by the Area Service Manager such as call out and working outside of normal working hours (please note that this list is not exhaustive)
Working Hours:
- 41 hours per week, Monday - Friday
Person Specification:
We are looking for mechanically and electrically biased engineers from any type of maintenance / service background, specifically general automotive technicians, HGV, mobile plant, forklift, or ex-forces military vehicle engineers.
The ideal candidate will hold a clean driving license and have a good level of education. They will also have experience working in a customer-facing environment and be used to working unsupervised. Experience supervising staff is desirable.
